Community. Compassion. Courageous.

The Haven is a not-for-profit well being space with a yoga studio, healing room and a mindful room in the heart of Stonehaven. During the pandemic we created The Haven Community Larder to address rising levels of food insecurity.

In these increasingly uncertain times, there are two things of which we can be certain. Firstly, that mental health was at crisis point prior to this pandemic and will continue to get worse. Secondly, food poverty was increasing due to austerity, compounded by the decline in the Oil & Gas industry on which our area heavily relies.

In the same way you hopefully support your wellbeing through yoga, meditation, crafts, or talking to friends we would encourage you to subsidise your shopping with the community food larder. If you believe that hard times are coming, which they are for the majority, then be proactive and come to the community larder. For example, subsidise your weekly shopping with 10% by accessing the community larder if you are able too and if need be increase that amount if and when you need.

*We have moved to the Stonehaven Community Centre (Robert Street car park entrance)*
